I ordered one pack of the afrolin fiber hair but i am wondering how many packs are needed for styles such as senegalese twist or casama braids...I would like to use this exclusively if it works so well and looks so good...but I amtrying to see if it is economical enough to add to clients price...thank you!

Answer:
A single one pound package of Afrolin is sufficient to do a full head of medium size to thinner Senegalese Twists or Casamas Braids of average length. We are defining average as being up to up to shoulder length. If the Twists/Braids are thinner, you will use less Afrolin Hair Fiber. You are able to customize the width & length according to your needs.
For comparison, one one pound pack of Afrolin Hair is equivalent to 4 packs of human hair, although human hair available through most outlets is not normally used for these styles.
Longer(mid-back) or thicker Senegalese Twists/Casamas Braids will require more than one one pound pack of Afrolin Hair Fiber, as is required with any extension hair. If that is the case, the service should be priced according to braid time required and quantity of hair used.By Tasha from Ohio on April 20, 2012
Can this hair be used for fluffy/ puffy twist?
By Treasured Locks Staff on April 20, 2012
Answer:
If you're referring to corkscrew twists as pictured on our website under the Afrolin product, Afrolin is the best natural fiber for that style. Instructions on how to achieve the style are included on the YouTube video listed under the "Instructions" tab on the product page.By Rae from FL on April 21, 2012
If i use this hair to do kinky twists, do i have to cut & tie the ends, or can i put rods on the ends (or braid them) and dip them in hot water?
By Treasured Locks Staff on April 23, 2012
Answer:
Afrolin is not synthetic hair. It is not finished by dipping in hot water. Afrolin ends are finished the same as you would human hair. However, Corkscrews a/k/a puffy twists must be either tied off or the ends wrapped...as demonstrated in the FREE "How To" video.By Audrey Handy from Marion Station, Maryland on April 22, 2012

How do I finish the ends of Afrolin styles? Do I tie them off? Burn them? Dip them in hot water?
By Treasured Locks Staff on April 26, 2012
Answer:
Afrolin ends are finished differently depending on the style. For styles with relatively thick ends, like Corkscrew (Puffy) Twists, the ends are tied off.
Medium and thinner ends can be "bumped" or curled with a hot curling iron, just like human hair. Also you can shed off the ends for a graduated thinner natural finish.
Third, you can do a slide down thin undetectable knot (this technique is shown in our video). You can finish the ends just like you would finish the ends of human hair extensions. The ends will hold better because Afrolin has a more natural textured feel and is not as slippery as human hair.By Treasured Locks from West Chester, OH on April 26, 2012
How often and how do I wash my hair with Afrolin extensions? How do I maintain my hair with Afrolin in it?
By Treasured Locks Staff on April 26, 2012
Answer:
Styles with medium (pinky finger) to thin braid type styles (individuals or Cornrows), can be shampooed & submerged in water, as often as you would normally shampoo human hair extensions.
Corkscrews & thick puffy twists, lasting up to 6 weeks, cannot be submerged in water & require
scalp cleansing with a cloth.
Organic Aloe Vera Gel or Treasured Locks Locks of Curls Pomade & Gel can be used on the Afrolin hair while styling and for maintenance to smooth the hair. Treasured Locks "African Argan Elixir", Baka Butter for Hair, Vitamist & more are all nourishing leave-ins for scalp & hair maintenance. Can you flat iron the hair if needed?
By Treasured Locks Staff on April 27, 2012
Answer:
Afrolin is for braided and twisted styles only. It can be curled on the ends with hot curling irons. Afrolin cannot be flat ironed, combed or brushed. Flat irons can be used to "bump" the ends only.
