Treasured Locks is happy to present our African Argan Oil
Elixir. Argan oil is naturally beneficial for both hair and
skin, which is why it has been used by the Berber women for
centuries. Argan oil naturally contains essential fatty acids
that hair and skin drink up as nourishment making them more elastic and
Now, Argan oil, extracted from the nuts of the Argan tree in Morocco is
becoming all the rage. Several years ago, Treasured Locks discovered
the health and beauty benefits of the
shea nut, from which we get shea butter and shea oil. This beauty
secret from Africa made its way to America after hundreds of years use
in the Mother Land. Just as when shea became embraced by the costmetic
community, there are people taking advantage of the reputation of argan
oil by putting a dab here and there in their products. We
encourage you to compare the label of our African Argan Oil Elixir to
any other Argan Oil product on the market. You'll find the number
one ingredient in our elixir is Argan oil. Not only that, it is 100%

skin. Lastly, we add a dash of natual lavender and vanilla oils
to provide a warm, soothing fragrance that makes your hair smell

There are so many products out there that claim to moisturize hair but I will stick with the oils. Which is best to moisturize natural hair? Shea, emu, argan, coconut, jojoba, olive or castor oil? I have 4b hair and I am confused.
By Treasured Locks Staff on May 17, 2012
Answer:It is confusing. Let's narrow it down to three choices for you. We like to combine the best of all worlds in our products:
Treasured Locks H2G Hair Growth Serum- contains Emu oil, Shea oil and Jojoba oil along with some great essential oils to stimulate the scalp
Treasured Locks Hair & Scalp Elixir- contain Shea oil, Castor oil, Olive oil, Jojoba oil and others that are wonderful for the hair and scalp. The key difference between this and H2G Hair Growth Serum is the Hair & Scalp Elixir does not contain emu oil, making it less expensive.
Treasured Locks African Argan Oil Elixir- contains Argan oil, Sweet Almond Oil and Jojoba oil.
You can't go wrong with any of the above three. All have multiple beneficial plant oils and all will improve your hair and scalp's health.

Can this product be mixed in with the rose water, and the Natural Laxer?
By Treasured Locks Staff on October 12, 2011
Answer:Yes, the African Argan Oil Elixir could be used in place of the olive oil recommended in the Natural-Laxer MIX brochure. You would use one tablespoon.

I have the same question. Do you have the 100% argan oil and not the blend, if not where can it be purchased? It was asked, but not yet answered. Although it is expensive, purchasing 100% Argon oil should be an option for those of us who can afford and will buy it. Afterall many of us will spend any amount of money for beautiful hair.
By Treasured Locks Staff on August 20, 2012
Answer:We have decided not to sell pure Argan oil. It's extremely expensive. At the price we would have to sell it, we don't think enough of our customers would be willing to buy it. We have chosen to blend Argan Oil with other oils that are extremely beneficial for the hair, making our Elixir effective and affordable.
Be careful. There are product out there calling themselves 100% Argan Oil because they're made using 100% Argan Oil (along with a bunch of cheap fillers). If you want pure Argan oil, read the ingredients label and be wary if the price is too good to be true.

do your hair have to be natural to use this product?
By Treasured Locks Staff on May 1, 2012
Answer:Treasured Locks African Argan Oil Elixir is great for most hair types and is effective on both natural afro-textured hair and on relaxed hair and hair that has otherwise been chemically treated. In fact, it's even more important to keep permed hair well oiled and moisturized as the chemicals tend to make some people's hair more dry and brittle.
