In January 2011, Black Opal
replaced their True Tone Vitamin Rich Lipstick with True Color
Lipstick. Some of the colors have been carried over to the new
line and several new colors have been added. Many of the old
colors have been discontinued. To make it easy for you to

True Tone Vs. True Color (Black Currant)By Adair from Detroit, MI on June 18, 2011 i have been using this lipstick for some time, my color being Black Currant. When I heard they were discontinue/changing the formula, I worried. I purchased the new True Color (Black Currant). As well as ordering a few discontinued. Everything arrived as expected in a timely manner.
Unfortunately, there are differences. T.T. is a deeper, matte finish, while T.C has an added gloss that goes on with a noticeable shine. T.T. is a darker wine shade with purple undertones. T.C. is a lighter, red shade. I wore both all day to be sure. Most people noticed a difference.Pros:T.T. a darker wine color, more of the product
T.C. no need for added shine to perk it up
Cons:T.C. more of a cherry red
