Combine the Bump Fighter razor handle with any of our great shaving pre-shaves, shave gels and after shaves and you've got unbeatable protection against one of the oldest and most stubborn problem African American men face- razor bumps. This handle is contoured for comfort and has a rubber grip. It comes with (2) Bump Fighter Cartridges. Refills are sold separately.
The Bump Fighter razor is designed specifically to prevent cutting the hair too short and to prevent the blade from rubbing against the skin, causing irritation. Cutting the hair too short and/or at the wrong angle is the single biggest cause of razor bumps for Black men. The curly hair, if cut too short, will grow back underneath the skin causing irritation. The Bump Guard technology used in the razor allows you to shave with a razor, comfortably- maybe for the first time ever.
The Bump Fighter razor works best when used along with a system of products to prevent razor bumps. We have several available from Treasured Locks. It's important to use the right products along with the proper razor. You need to:
- Prepare the surface of the skin for shaving
- Removing bacteria that look for the opportunity to penetrate sensitive freshly shaved skin
- Softening the hair and skin before shaving
- Standing the hair up
- Shave with a good, sharp clean razor
- Cleanse and soothe the skin after shaving.
