Can you use this product if your're already natural and just want to switch from straight to fro?
By Treasured Locks Staff on October 7, 2011
Answer:
For the most part customers who use this are wearing their hair straight. But, it is a great deep conditioning product if you still want to wear your hair kinky.By Willa from Fairbanks, Alaska on March 10, 2012
Answer:
The curls in my natural are a very tiny spiral. My hair is shoulder length and when wet, it curls up into ity-bity spirials that shortens my hair into a tiny spiral fro. While that is just fine, sometimes I want longer spirals when wearing a wash and go. Diva Smooth gives me that look. When I wear a wash and go after a few days of Diva Smooth, my curls are not as tight and I can wear my natural tiny spirals a bit longer as I wish. With each wash, my spirals get tighter and tighter.By myrna from Augusta GA on October 7, 2011
How many treatments can I get out of one bottle?
By Treasured Locks Staff on October 7, 2011
Answer:
The number of treatments you will get is dependent on the length and thickness of your hair. Hair that is shoulder length will get between one and two treatments per bottle. Longer hair will require more product.
Virgin hair (hair that has not been treated with Diva Smooth before) may need two applications to get the full desired results. By Risha from Des Moines Ia on October 13, 2011

Why can't I just use a flat-iron to get my hair straight?
By Treasured Locks Staff on June 22, 2012
Answer:
A flat iron will straighten your hair. What Diva Smooth adds is smoothness to your hair and heat protection. With repeated use, you'll need less heat and your hair will glow.By Treasured Locks from West Chester, OH on June 22, 2012
My Hair is relaxed and I have no intention of stopping the use of a relaxer in my hair...is Diva Smooth for me?
By Treasured Locks Staff on June 22, 2012
Answer:
Yes, Diva Smooth can be used in combination with chemical relaxers because Diva Smooth does not chemically alter your hair. On relaxed hair, Diva Smooth will provide a layer of smooth and shine that your hair wouldn't have otherwise. Relaxers can be drying to your hair and it's extremely important to keep your hair moisturized so that it can remain supple.By Treasured Locks from West Chester, OH on June 22, 2012
I'm transitioning from my relaxer to natural hair. Is Diva Smooth for me?
By Treasured Locks Staff on June 22, 2012
Answer:
Diva Smooth is great for transitioning. The problem when you're transitioning besides just the appearance of the roots is the dissimilar textures between the new growth and the relaxed hair can lead to breakage. Diva Smooth helps minimize the difference in texture between the natural hair and the relaxed hair.By Treasured Locks from West Chester, OH on June 22, 2012
My hair is all natural 4a/b hair and I am skeptical about putting any straightener besides heat in my hair. What EXACTLY is the straightening ingredient in your product?
By Treasured Locks Staff on June 22, 2012
Answer:
Diva Smooth does not contain a straightening ingredient. If you use Diva Smooth without applying heat, your hair will be more supple, smooth and manageable, but it will not be straight. It's the heat that straightens your hair, Diva Smooth provides protection and smoothness.By Treasured Locks from West Chester, OH on June 22, 2012
I am a Caucasian woman. Should I use Diva Smooth when I'm straightening my hair?
By Treasured Locks Staff on June 22, 2012
Answer:

If your hair is already damaged, Diva Smooth will deposit a high level of moisture and nutrients helping to repair that damage.By Treasured Locks from West Chester, OH on June 22, 2012
How does Diva Smooth work in high humidity climates?
By Treasured Locks Staff on June 22, 2012
Answer:
The problem of humidity is helped by applying the Shine Coconut Serum before flat ironing. This will minimize frizziness and help prevent reversion. Diva Smooth will not stop reversion entirely. But, it will help slow the process.By Treasured Locks from West Chester, OH on June 22, 2012
I want to continue to wear my hair in a natural state. I don't want it to even appear chemically altered. But, I would like more manageability. Would Diva Smooth work for me?
By Treasured Locks Staff on June 22, 2012
Answer:
Absolutely. Diva Smooth is great for natural styles. Diva Smooth by itself does not straighten hair. And, Diva Smooth does not permanently alter the chemistry of the hair. Diva Smooth on natural hair will provide moisture, nutrition, smoothness and manageability. And, if you do decide you want to flat iron occasionally, you have that option.By Treasured Locks from West Chester, OH on June 22, 2012
What if my hair gets wet? Will it revert to its natural state? I exercise a lot.
By Treasured Locks Staff on June 22, 2012
Answer:
Diva Smooth is not a chemical relaxer and does not straighten Your natural curl pattern remains the same as before you applied Diva Smooth and the heat. If/when your hair gets wet, you will need to reapply heat. But, that silky smooth look will be back for up to four weeks after you have done your last application of Diva Smooth.By Treasured Locks from West Chester, OH on June 22, 2012
How frequently should I apply Diva Smooth and how long do I leave it on?
By Treasured Locks Staff on June 22, 2012
Answer:
The recommendation for most people is to apply every four weeks or so. We have some customers who apply once a week. If your hair is damaged and you want to quickly repair, it you might want apply Diva Smooth a little more often in the beginning.
For most hair types, Diva Smooth can be left on less than 45 minutes. If you have very coarse hair and want to leave it on longer, that's fine. Diva Smooth will not harm your hair no matter how long left on. Some people like to leave it on overnight.By Von from AL on October 28, 2011
How often can you do the treatment?
By Treasured Locks Staff on October 31, 2011
Answer:

Hello, after applying the Diva Smooth on the hair, can you sit under a dome hair dryer for the time alotted or is using a heat cap better?
Thank you
P.S. I ordered the H2G Hair Growth Serum and am excited! I can't wait to see the results.
By Treasured Locks Staff on July 16, 2012
Answer:
Yes, you *can* use a hooded dryer with a conditioning cap or shower cap to keep the hair from drying out. But, a conditioning cap designed for deep heating treatment is better because it is designed to keep the moisture in. A hooded dryer is designed to drive moisture out by blowing hot, dry air.By Treasured Locks Staff from West Chester, OH on November 3, 2011

By Treasured Locks Staff on November 3, 2011
Answer:

Can I apply Diva Smooth, roll my hair on rollers and sit under a hair dryer? will this smooth my hair?
By Treasured Locks Staff on November 4, 2011
Answer:
How roller setting will work with Diva Smooth is dependent on the texture of the hair. Diva Smooth is designed for manageability of textured hair, ease of flat ironing natural hair, extending the length of relaxer treatments, and to be used as a natural alternative to chemical relaxers.
When using Diva Smooth, we recommend blow drying the hair to stretch the hair to making it easier to flat iron.
Roller sets will only become very smooth on less kinky hair or hair that has been previously relaxed. Kinky textures should use the suggested method of blow drying and flat ironing for optimal, smooth results.

By Treasured Locks Staff on November 21, 2011

Will hair remain straight if it gets wet?
By Treasured Locks Staff on November 21, 2011
Answer:
If you flat iron your hair after using Diva Smooth, it will only remain straight until you get it wet. Washing the hair or submerging it in water will cause the hair to revert.By Renee from Nokesville, VA on November 18, 2011

Can I use with Henna
By Treasured Locks Staff on December 6, 2011
Answer:

You would apply the Diva Smooth treatment, wash, then apply henna and condition, then blow dry, flat iron and style.By Sonya from Helena, AL on December 6, 2011
How does Diva Smooth work in conjuction with the Natural Laxer product? I have about 7 inches of natural hair that I have used Natural Laxer on since I have transitioned from a chemical relaxer. My hair is easy to manage, but I usually don't apply heat, since it reverts back so quickly. But I would like to try straighter styles. Will this product be harmful to hair that has been treated long term with Natural Laxer?
By Treasured Locks Staff on December 6, 2011
Answer:
Diva Smooth can be used on hair that has previously been treated with Natural-Laxer MIX.By K from OK on December 7, 2011
I have not had a relaxer in 5 months. I've been getting it flat-ironed and pressed in the roots/edges. If I use this product along w/continuing to flat iron/press my hair, when I sweat during workouts will my hair get puffy, kinky, nappy or will this product aid in keeping it from reverting? Thanks
By Treasured Locks Staff on December 7, 2011
Answer:
While it will slow down reverting, it will not prevent it entirely if the hair becomes very damp.By Willa from Fairbanks, AK on March 10, 2012
What's the shelf life for Diva Smooth Smoothing Agent?
By Treasured Locks Staff on March 12, 2012

There is no specific expected shelf life published. The product will last indefinitely if unopened and stored properly. Since it is made with honey, it has a natural preservative effect. Can guys with dry, short hair use this product and if so, what type of results can we expect?
By Treasured Locks Staff on March 28, 2012
Answer:
Yes, any hair type and any hair length can use the product. What you can expect is an overall improvement in the condition of the hair making it smoother, more moisturized and healthier. Most people who use Diva Smooth use it in conjunction with heat (flat ironing or straight combing) to straighten hair and keep it straight longer and make it smoother in appearance. By Bianca from Dallas, Texas on April 2, 2012
I have read where this product can be used with the Natural-Laxer. But can I apply the Natural-Laxer the same day as applying the Diva Smooth or should there be a waiting period?
By Treasured Locks Staff on April 3, 2012
Answer:
We can't think of a situation where you would want to use both Diva Smooth and Natural-Laxer MIX on the same day. It can be done. It wouldn't do any harm. but, we would recommend using them on separate occasions rather than using them together.By elizabeth from boston MA on April 20, 2012
My last perm was 5 months ago...iam really wanting to go natural but have hair that a lil past shoulder length and don't want to cut it....will this help make my new growth more manageable ?
By Treasured Locks Staff on April 23, 2012
Answer:
Yes, it will make your new growth more manageable. To get the new growth the same texture as the permed hair, you would still need to use a straight comb or flat iron. But, Diva Smooth will make it more manageable and should help control the amount of breakage you might otherwise experience when transitioning.By Heather from Kalifornia on April 23, 2012
Answer:
Diva smooth will defintely make your transition smooth(literally). I recommemd diva smooth whenever the oppotunity presents itself! I've been natural for two years. I read testimonials for diva smooth and waited almost a year to finally decide to try it. After I tried it I'm hooked for life. Even after hitting the gym my roots, on the sides, jus needed a little tiny touch up with the hot comb not a whole redo! I'm a fan!By Sarah from Decatur, GA on April 23, 2012
Answer:
I'm not sure what your hair texture is but this should make your hair more manageable. I have thinning, fine, frizzy, flyaway hair and this helps me immensely. I use it once a week to help maintain the luster and manageability of my hair. By Regina Barbee from North Crolina on April 23, 2012
Answer:
The answer to your question is YES IT WILL. I have been using Diva Smooth for two years. I also grew my perm out. My hair is very kinky without Diva Smooth. I use the coconut serum also it gives my hair a great smell and last a long time. I leave the Diva smooth in for about 30-45 minutes. I like it also because you can use it as often as you like with no damage. When I flat Iron my hair it looks and feels like I just permed it and it does not sweat back. I love the product.By YVETTE from Texas on April 23, 2012
Answer:
I have used Diva Smooth for several years, I helped me in the transition from relaxed to natural hair. I stopped using it for a while and tried a few more expensive products that were labled as "better than any other straigtener" but I soon found out that they did not work. I was seriously considering going back to the relaxed hair but remember the effect I got when using Diva Smoothe. I have found that Diva Smooth's effect is optimal when used consistently for a few applications. It is the only product I have found to date that keeps my hair straight, smooth, and unfrizzed. I recently purchased two bottles and have decided not to relax again.,By Tanita from Chicago, Illinois on April 24, 2012
Answer:
Yes, I apply this product as a leave in a over night treatment to get a full long lasting effect. I have been natural for almost 3 years and I use this product to loosen up my 4c texture hair. This product does make my hair softer and more manageable. I have been using this product since I first started going natural. However, now I only wear my hair straighten for 2 weeks at a time.By Krys from Bronx on April 25, 2012
Answer:
Yes, it should. It makes your hair softer so it's easier to flat iron.By Sylvia from Brooklyn, NY on April 30, 2012
Answer:
Yes, it will. My last perm was over 2 years ago and my hair was always hard to comb and dried out quickly. I used Diva Smooth and just blow dried my hair and it is a lot, and I mean a lot more manageable and softer. I just cornrow my hair at night and in the morning take out the braids and finger comb.
