The best hair growth shampoo you can buy just got better. Months in the
making, we are finally ready to unveil the reformulation of our most
popular H2G Hair Growth Shampoo with Emu oil. You wanted paraben and
sulfate free and you got it. We've also managed to sneak some
shea butter in there. This product works best in conjunction with our
Treasured Locks H2G Hair Growth Conditioner.
H2G Hair Growth Shampoo helps hydrate hair and improve elasticity. The
product works well for all hair types. It works especially well
for black hair. Hydration and elasticity are vital to Black hair
care. Black hair tends to be dry and brittle. That makes it fragile.
Anything we can do to improve the moisture balance and to improve the
elasticity means less breakage. Our Emu Oil Shampoo is especially
beneficial if you perm your hair or use heat on your hair.
Treasured Locks H2G Hair Growth Shampoo works great for those with
curly, dry, damaged or just hard to manage hair. It gently cleans
without stripping your hair and scalp of necessary oils. Emu oil
contains an array of Essential Fatty Acids that do wonders for your
hair and scalp. That is why we include it in our Treasured Locks H2G
Hair Growth Serum and our H2G Hair Growth Conditioner.

Answer:This is a great question and one we get a lot. There are several things we need to consider before doing this.
When customers are asking about larger sizes of shampoos and conditioners we believe the main motivation is that they want to save money. The idea being that a 16 ounce bottle will cost less than twice what an 8 ounce bottle costs. This is true of many things you buy because the manufacturer can save money on packaging, shipping, etc. which are significant costs of their products. In the case of our shampoos and conditioners because of the quality of the ingredients we use the price of the product itself makes up the majority of our product cost. The packaging cost is almost insignificant. If we were to make a 16 ounce bottle of our emu oil shampoo, for example, it would cost us virtually the same as (2) 8 ounce bottles. So, we would not be able to pass along a lot of cost savings to you.
In addition, for us to carry 16 ounce bottles of each shampoo and conditioner would mean we'd have twice the shelf space required for those products in our warehouse. We'd have to stock a new set of labels and we'd have to stock 16 ounce bottles. These additional costs would be higher than the cost savings of a single 16 ounce bottle versus two 8 ounce bottles.
On many of our items, you will see quantity discounts. We will roll out more of these where we can. Also, you can save by buying in bulk (getting free shipping). And, you earn points on every purchase, reducing your costs even more when you are a regular customer.

Is this shampoo sulfate free?
By Treasured Locks Staff on October 19, 2011
Answer:This particular shampoo is not sulfate free. It uses gentle, salon grade sulfates that are necessary to give it the properties it is known for. We have considered reformulating it to be sulfate free to meet the demand for sulfate free shampoos. But, considering it is our best performing shampoo, we simply don't' want to mess with a good thing. We do offer a sulfate free shampoo, our Treasured Locks Nothin' But Nature Shampoo.

Are these products suitable for younger children? (ie: Will it hurt to get in her eyes?)I have a three year old bi-racial daughter. Looking for a product I can use for her tightly curled hair.
By Treasured Locks Staff on October 3, 2012
Answer:The product is not "tear free". It's not formulated to be gentle on the eyes. It is recommended to get it in the eyes. We recommend its use for children old enough to keep their eyes closed when getting their hair shampooed.
