Hi, I haven't tried the Hair Rules Kinky Curly Cream yet. I currently have a relaxer and I stretch my retouches every 3-1/2 , sometimes 4 months. My hair type is kinky (4b). Is this product safe to use on relaxed hair? The reason I ask is because I'm not sure if some of the ingredients will have a negative reaction with chemically treated hair. Thank you.

Answer:
Yes, Kinky Curly Cream is safe to use on relaxed hair. Please keep in mind that it does not "create" curls. It enhances what you already have. So it will not make relaxed hair curly.

Since my hair is kinky style 4b, does this product help to make hair more mangeable like less kinkier with looser more springy curls?
By Treasured Locks Staff on July 18, 2012

Answer:
Yes, that's exactly what the product does.

A Sure Favorite
September 20, 2012
This product is great...from the moment that I felt the texture of the cream I knew that I was hooked. I thought that because it went on wet hair that it would leave my hair dry...just the opposite. My hair stayed hydrated all day. Hydration is very important to me because I'm an avid swimmer; I didn't want the frizzy look of just getting out of the pool. The Kiinky Curling cream seemed to lock the moisture in so my hair looked great all day. Kinky Curling cream also elongated the natural curl of my afro and it looked great...got lot's of compliments.

Top Fave for Curly Hair Care!
September 19, 2012
This is one of my top favs for curly hair care! It has a deep rich lather, which suggests it has concentrated ingredients, and it helped to lock in and retain the moisture in my hair. Being that I have dry hair, it's really important for me to have a cream that's filled with moisture, so that my hair stays hydrated all day and I don't have to continuously reapply the product, which I think this cream easily accomplishes. I also like how soft it makes my hair feel after applying. It's a leave in conditioner, so it leaves the curls conditioned and soft, but it also defines my curls like a settling lotion, without them getting too hard or dried out. Lastly, I love great smell and Hair Rules Cream smells like a perfume your wearing! (So you can cuddle in great smelling - style- lol!)

Excellent Natural Hair Product
November 30, 2013
This product is wonderful for defining curls and allowing very little frizz. It was very easy to use and probably would have left no frizz if I will had used a diffuser or sat under the dryer as opposed to air drying. I still feel this product is superior to others I've tried that are supposed to do the same thing. The best thing I liked about this product is that it dried leaving my curls soft and not crunchy feeling or brittle looking.

Kinky Curling Cream
October 26, 2012
I had the opportunity to try the cream. It is a light weight cream with an excellent, inviting smell to it. It was not greasy at all and did make the hair curl up instantly, but unfortunately it did not last as long as I would have liked. I would recommend people try t on your own hair and see how it responds as we all have different hair types.

Not What I Expected
October 25, 2012
I was lucky enough to receive a sample of this product & was very excited to try it. I checked out the how-to video online to ensure I'd use it properly. I followed the instructions, but did not get the results I saw in the video. To be honest, it was ambitious of me to think my normally frizzy hair would get wonderful curl definition but I was holding out hope. I didn't mind the lack of definition, but what I did mind was the fact that it made my hair feel a bit "crunchy" Although I wasn't able to do a wash-and-go, the cream did help me stretch my hair enough to do a nice little up-do. I doubt I'd use it again though because of the crunch-factor, but as my hair did look shinier& have less frizz than usual I'm sure it would work well for others.

OK - but not really as great as I had hoped...

First off, let me just say that I have 'fuzzy' hair that does not have any type of pronounced curl pattern. That being said, the Kinky Curling cream did actually 'tighten' what curl pattern I had, but it also caused a lot of shrinkage. That is not necessarily a bad thing. When it tightened the curl pattern, it eliminated the little 'pop out ends' that are usually there, -which is a really good thing. I think the ladies that have a definite curl pattern will love this. It did not really dry my hair out which is also a 'big plus'. I liked 'Hair Rules Kinky Curling Cream' - but did not love it. But for me - that's a really good thing!!!

Nice results but...

I used this product to do my twist out. It looks great. I like how is softened and elongated my hair. I would buy more if it didn't have mineral oil in it. For those who don't care about applying mineral oil to their hair, get you some!
