H2G Hair Strength Supplement is a wonderful, easy to use,
source of collagen (protein). Collagen is an extremely
popular dietary supplement for a number of reasons. Many
people are taking collagen to lose weight, tone their bodies, improve
their joint function, increase energy levels and enhance their
appearance (skin and hair specifically). Collagen protein (hydrolyzed),
created and patented by an American pharmacist in the early
1970’s, has been used by doctors, clinics and hospitals for
weight loss; various skin conditions, including treatment for burn
victims; nutritional support for the elderly and hospital patients;
wound healing; for the support of joints and connective tissue. Next to
water, collagen is the most important structural substance in our
bodies, accounting for 25-30% of its total protein. Collagen is the
main component of your hair, skin, and nails. As we age, our
body gradually loses its ability to make collagen. This lack of
production of collagen causes our hair to become thinner and duller,
our skin to sag and wrinkle, and our joints to become less
flexible. Many believe that supplementing with collagen
protein is provides the body with the amino acids necessary to
manufacture and support collagen.
Collagen is different from other protein
sources. Other hair growth supplements have designed systems
which include amino acids. Collagen protein contains a unique
combination and ratio of high nitrogen amino acids (protein),most
importantly, glycine, proline, hydroxyproline and arginine. It
is for this reason that we chose to use collagen in our hair
strengthening supplement rather than some other sources of
protein. These amino acids have been shown to influence many bodily
functions in addition to making for great hair and skin.
Weight loss, improved connective tissues, better body growth and repair
and improved metabolism have all been associated with collagen
Collagen was originally used by doctors in
skin trauma centers to aid in wound healing, collagen protein also
affects the quality and appearance of the skin, hair and nails, and
helps support joint function. Both men and women typically notice an
improvement in skin softness, hydration, tone and overall appearance,
as well as the growth and quality of their hair and nails.
One of the most appealing things about
supplementing with our H2G Hair Strength Supplement is the ease of use
and the lack of harmful side effects. Collagen is a naturally
occurring whole food protein. Collagen is completely safe.
We tend to pay a great deal of attention to
the appearance of our hair, nails and skin once they have grown outside
the body. There is an abundance of products available to hydrate,
“strengthen” and generally improve these structures
once they have been created. Treasured Locks H2G Growth and
Strength Supplements help improve the growth of these structures at the
only time it can be done, while they are still in your body being
Our Treasured Locks H2G Hair
Strength Supplement is a great complementary product to
the H2G Hair Growth Supplement and the H2G Hair Shine
Supplement. The collagen in the strengthening product works
in conjunction with the Vitamins and MSM (source of sulfur) in the
Growth product. Together, they make a very powerful system
for healthy hair, skin and nails with the added “side
effects” of improved metabolism and better overall health.

What is the difference between the H2G Hair Strength Supplement and the H2G Hair Vitamins - Hair Growth Supplement?
By Treasured Locks Staff on May 28, 2012
Answer:The Hair Strength Supplement is a collagen product which provides the basic building blocks of hair (nails, skins and joint health). The Hair Growth Supplement provides essential vitamins, minerals and nutrients for hair (nails and skin) health. This blend of nutrients assists the body in using the collagen to create the hair. The two products are complementary.

I read on the internet that magnesium stearic, stearic acid is a toxin that kills off cells in the body and decreases the effect of the intended purpose of the pill, but it is used in most multivitamins. i was under the impression that all the ingredients in the products you sell are natural. Can you please explain why this ingredient is in your H2G hair strength product?
By Treasured Locks Staff on October 31, 2011
Answer:This, we believe, is an example of don't believe everything you read on the internet. You have to look at the motives of people publishing such information. And, frankly, sometimes it's difficult to find an objective analysis.
Magnesium stearate is extremely common in multivitamins. You'll be hard pressed to find a multivitamin that doesn't include it because it's an effective ingredient and considered safe. You'll notice that we list it in the "also contains" portion of the ingredient list because there is a very small amount of it in the product. It's included because it keeps the vital nutrients placed in the product from sticking to the processing equipment so that they actually end up in the product. Like many other ingredients in products, we would recommend sitting down to a meal of magnesium stearate. But, in the amounts included in multivitamins it is both safe and effective.
So, why would someone put out "warnings" about ingredients like magnesium stearate? The answer often is companies who sell alternative products will choose to demonize common (and safe) ingredients found in the mainstream products. That helps promote their niche products by making consumers think they are safer.
There is no reason to believe that magnesium stearate is anything other than safe and effective in the way it is used in our supplement and the vast majority of supplements on the market.
