Anika Janelle Pettiford grew up
in the Caribbean isles of Trinidad and Tobago. She migrated to
the United States as a young woman and pursued her dream of attending
college. Today, Anika is the Founder and President of Janelle
Beauty. Anika migrated to the United States and immediately realized her dream to attend college. Fighting against the odds, Anika was determined to pursue the American dream. During a time of personal crisis, Anika decided she wanted to use products free of synthetic chemicals she thought mighte carcinogens. Not finding what she wanted in the marketplace, she began making her own products and Janelle Beauty came into being. Today, Janelle Beauty is a black owned independent beauty company that is up and coming in the marketplace.
