I have fairly long biracial hair, past my shoulders, and am transitioning from a relaxer to natural hair. I saw results from the first use of this poduct and applied again 5 days later. It's loosened my curls considerably and I can't wait to see what the results will be like after the 3rd use! Although I did add a tablespoon of olive oil to the mix each time, I did find that I had to deep condition my hair after use and oil my scalp and hair ends every night because it left my hair feeling a bit drier than usual. Overall though, I'm very pleased and will be purchasing again.

This is the best product I've ever used on my hair to condition and relax it. I don't like chemicals of any sort and I just think it is so wonderful to have a natural product to relax my hair. My hair was softer and the natural curl was more defined. My husband notice the first time I used it.

I like the product a lot, this is my second time around trying the product and know that all results really vary with this product. I used the product as shown in the video of another's jouney and saw true results in the change of my hair. First use softened my hair but no change in curl pattern, second use I could feel the difference before I finished shampooing my hair... softer, more defined curl pattern, third use I could see clearly that my curls are defining and hair is softer.
I used the product once a week over a matter of 3 weeks roughly, and I not only feel the difference, but also see the difference in my hair. wish I had taken pictures to show the proof, this isn't a "one use" beauty product ladies, but it is very much worth it. I love my natural hair more and more after each use and will continue using the product, if it can tame my curls, I know it do the same for the rest of the world.

I used it twice, and each time I saw a noticeable loosening of my curls. The only problem is, I have not used it consistantly enough to see full results. I did once and waited at least 5 weeks before I got around to using it again. (just plain too lazy.) Now, another problem is there's so little in the jar it never seem to be enough. the first time I had to use a jar and a half when my hair was way shorter. The 2nd time, even the 1and a half was not enough. I had to get creative and mix it up with a little bit of bentonite clay. it seemed to work fine. Now that my hair is thicker and longer, I don't even know if 2 will be enough. Of course that's my biggest complaint. I also experienced a little dryness, but deep conditioning and oiling my scalp took care of that. I will definitely report back with pictures after I use all four jars..

natural, does not alter hair structure permanently, only product on the market so far that I have found to loosen my curls without any chemical whatsoever.

not enough in the jar. Time consuming. Don't like the fact that I have to do it in 3, 4 consecutive applications before I see real result (I'm way too lazy for that.) but it's still worth it.

I bought three jars of the Natural-Laxer Mix and three bottles of the rose water. I used all three and each one worked a little better than the last. I have very tight "s" shaped curls, and each time I used the treatment, my curls got a little looser. The change in my hair has been very gradual, but it felt healthier after the second and third use. I put a table spoon of olive oil in each container of the Natural-Laxer Mix because it made my hair very dry without it. This helped a lot. I am going to buy three more jars to see what it does to my hair. Good luck!

I can't give a fair rating of this product at this time. I have 4c hair. I bought 3 jars. After mixing 1 jar and applying to my hair I realized that 1 jar wasn't enough to sufficiently cover my hair. I mixed the remaining 2 jars and got great coverage. I'm not going for the extreme straight look. I just want to relax my curls. I went to my stylist to get my hair straightened because I was told heat would aide in relaxing my curls. That was a time consuming process. The blow drying; the straightening with the hot comb ... applying lots of cream press and then using curling irons to achieve a style. My hair was left stiff and sticky. I can say that I was able to straighten my hair using marcel wax and a flat iron only. So until I purchase my next applications ... "the jury is still out".

I've just finished my second application of the Natural-Laxer Mix. I did like the instruction said and applied it again after 7 days. My hair is softer after it's washed but not so much after it's dry.
Cons:
Not enough product per container. Any normal person with medium length hair needs 2 jars per app. That makes it expensive.

Only used once. I still have two more treatments that is recommended. I didn't notice much difference at first but after a day I saw less breakage. It doesn't smell nice but the rose water makes it better. I have short hair about 2 to 3 inches long and one jar was enough. All in all I'll try the next two treatments to see if there's any improvement.

I could tell a difference after one use. I have frizzy, shoulder length 3B. My first indicator that this stuff was something special was washing it out. Almost no tangles. I noticed that the hair lay differently. Really defined the curl pattern beautifully. I'm glad I read these reviews and took a chance by buying 3 of these at one time, hoping for the best. Now, I'm excited to do it again over the next 2 weeks, followed with a few changes in my maintenance, I think I might have the right plan to get exactly the hair I want with this stuff. MAD THANKS!

I used one container of the Natural-Laxer Mix about a week ago, and it doesn't seem to have made much of a difference. I'm mixed (black, jewish, and cherokee) and my hair is wavy as much as it is curly, and has a lot of body to it, and I just wanted to tame the waves/curls a bit and hopefully reduce breakage and make it easier for me to care for. I can't really tell if the Natural-Laxer Mix has done much besides made my hair drier than it already was, so I have to use a lot of moisturizer. The mix did smell nice (though a bit strong to me, after a little while) with rose water, and I really like that it's organic. I was also glad that the mix didn't burn, just kind of tingled on my scalp -- though my scalp has felt itchier and somewhat irritated since using the relaxer, though I'm not positive it's from that as opposed to something else. I've tried a different natural hair relaxer mix before, the Bodiphier, and that added body to my hair (which I didn't need) but also noticeably relaxed my curls/waves especially after I did it twice. I'm not sure which I prefer yet since I've only used this mix once. I hadn't used natural hair relaxers prior to the Bodiphier, so maybe they just take more than one application to really notice a difference.. which wouldn't be so much of an issue for me if they were less expensive. I might give this mix another shot because I think it is less expensive than the Bodiphier, and I don't want to use a chemical relaxer.

I was a skeptic but I can see the difference in my hair. I have kinky black hair that tends be to dry all the time and break easy. When I wear my hair loose it falls different, and I like that. Awaiting to do my third application. I will definitely use this product again.

This product was bought to give elongation to 4b hair. So far no changes can be seen after using it twice in two weeks. However, you can really feel the difference when the detangling begins. Totally worth the process to have my daughter say that combing her hair out was not bad at all!

I have tight coily kinky hair. before using this product it was difficult to finger comb or finger part my coily/kinky hair. Now after 4 applications (one application every week for 4 weeks), I am able to part my hair into sections easily and finger comb my hair. My hair no longer tangles and I rarely shed any hair doing the washing, conditioning, detangling process. This is a great product!

I recently bought this item and did my first application last weekend. Jar a little too small but I made it work - I used the 2 oz rose water and added a little more warm tap water. Adding the tap water I think gave the perfect consistency and stretched it a little so it was exactly enough (my natutral kinky hair is approx. 6 inches. I must say that this product is promising. From first application I could see the curl pattern beginning to stretch so I am exited to see the end results after my 3 jar. I agree with some of the reviewers that hair can come out dry but my advice is to used the olive oil as advisded in the instrcutions. I used it and my hair had extra shine. Also it will help to used the brush instead of your fingers to apply. Using a brush makes applying mix more efficient.

I'm not sure I'll continue to purchase this product. It did loosen the curl enough to notice a difference. I'm sure it will continue to do so as I use it. However I don't think it's worth the price. Again, I don't think I'll continue to buy it.

This stuff is great! Been all Natural for a year now and the natural laxer really helped tame my hair, condition it and help my curls to straighten out. My hair is wicked thick! So I have to blow dry it intensely and straighten it for it to come out nice but with the natural laxer it helped with this process. It has also made my hair more manageable when not straightened and just all natural. Stepping away from chemical relaxers was hard for me but with natural relaxer and doing natural and beautiful hair styles I'll never go back.

I have used this product two weeks straight and I really like it. The first week I used it right after I colored my hair and it worked fine. I Didn't have any bad side effects and I saw results immediately after rinsing the product out of my hair. The second use I could really tell the difference in my curl pattern and noticed right away that my curls were looser and not as frizzy. I have to say that so far this product is great and I plan to use it in the future. I have a tip for those who are considering using this product: The first time I added about a table spoon of oil to the mix to help keep my hair from being dry and that worked well. The second time I used the product on my hair after rinsing my hair without washing my hair. that worked also to combat the dryness. I then washed the product out with a sulfate free shampoo and the results were great. My twist out lasted a whole week without too much frizz and I got so many compliments on my hair.

I just recieved my second jar and applied it to my hair. the first time i applied it wrong did not pre-shampoo so i did not see any change. the second time the change was slight in softness, no texture change however. will continue the process with third application to really see if the texture changes.

I've used the Baka shampoo and conditioners through my former beautician for (4) years while living in FL with permed hair- GREAT products, helped "extend" my touch up time. I decided to go the natural route in December 2010 after experiencing breakage from a salon perm (why did I move?!?). While visiting FL in May this year, my former beautician recommended the product and did the first application for me. I'm pretty sure she may have used (2) jars, since my hair is so thick. I flew back home and applied the other (2) initial treatments and noticed a HUGE difference after the 3rd application. My hair was much softer and the comb easily went through it. I've noticed alot less breakage through this transition period (9 months and 6 applications later). My hair has grown and is much stronger than before. This is great to use if you want to keep some length while making the transition to natural hair. It's a product that you can't just drop after a while, you still have to apply it within the same timeframe as a regular perm, but it's worth it. I don't want my comb to take the hair that I'm trying to grow out! LOL

I've gone though the three applications within two weeks on my "virgin" natural hair. My hair is about 6 or 7 inches long, and very thick. I also have the tightest curl pattern out of all my friends with natural hair (except maybe my younger brother). With this product, I noticed a definite lengthening of my curls, and it may have been a little easier to detangle, but that could just be my wishful thinking or me getting used to the process. Deep conditioning was a MUST with this product as it left my curls feeling parched! I did not have much increase to the definition of my curls. The only major benefit I got was the length. I think part of the problem for me was not putting enough product on. The jar is SO TINY! I am a broke college student and was trying to make the clay last. I also thought that since my hair is so short, one jar would be enough, but I guess not. If I do get this product again, I will have to use two jars per application. I just have to decide if I can afford it. I think I would recommend this product to people who had a looser curl pattern than I do, but then again, maybe they don't need it.

Natural Laxer Mix has definitely helped with my daughters hair. I have only done two treatments on her hair, but so far I am able to see a difference when I comb her hair and there are no issues and/or porblems. My daughter's hair seems to be more easier to comb and she is more happier. I will re-review when I have done more treatments as I am following the instructions. When you mix it with rosewater and add the olive oil, it is a perfect hair mask. It feels good. It smells good. However, it did nothing to relax my natural curl. I am on jar two this week and will complete this with jar three but so far, I have yet to see any difference.

Great product, relaxed the curl pattern on my natural very tight hair. I used the product every week for 3 weeks, each week my hair became more managable. It sealed my hair and helps with the frizzes. Since I blow dry and flat iron my hair every week it has helped it maintain its style in the Florida humidity. Great hair growth and little to no breakage. I had to stop using regular relaxers due to hair thining.

I've only used this product once, so far. I have coarse and resistant hair, but a sensitive scalp. First of all, Natural-Laxer MIX smells positively edible, which is not a bad thing at all. If you've used chemical relaxers, you know the actual relaxer smells pretty bad. On that score alone, Natural-Laxer MIX is a vast improvement. Mixing the relaxer was a bit of a challenge, but it is important to stick with it until it becomes the right consistency. My brother applied it to my hair for me, and he had no problems, except in one area. I'll put it this way: if I hadn't cut my hair a few months ago, there would not have been enough relaxer to completely cover my hair. If you have more than two inches of hair on your head, buy more than one jar per application. Having a sensitive scalp, it was wonderful not to feel burning during the relaxer application. Score another one for Natural-Laxer MIX. The rest of the steps were gravy. In fact, I am considering putting in the rest of my relaxers myself. As for the results, I did notice slight relaxing of my natural curl pattern, which is exactly what I expected. No miracles, but an improvement. My hair is softer, which I love, since my hair has never been soft. I do wonder how my hair would have turned out if I had been able to use a heat cap. Unfortunately, purchasing one was cost-prohibitive. At any rate, I am satisfied with Natural-Laxer MIX. look forward to seeing how subsequent use will improve my hair. One suggestion though: if able, buy the heat cap. I suspect if I had been able to purchase one, I would have been astounded by the results. As it is, I had to save up just to buy three jars of the relaxer (which is recommended). In my current financial situation, I doubt I'll be able to buy Natural-Laxer MIX as often as I'd like (or as recommended), but I'll buy it when I can.

I have put this on my little 9 year olds hair once a week for 3 weeks now using the rose water with it. I can see no difference in her hair at all. I thought this product was supposed to relax the hair? I have followed the directions to the letter. What else can be used to try to relax the hair without using chemical products? We are also using the shampoo and conditioner you recommended with it. My husband is also wondering if your company has a way of testing her hair if we sent a few strands to be tested and then you could help us with her hair . We would appreciate any help you can give us.

I used this for the first time on my daughter's hair. I could see that changed as I was applying it. She has a lot of thick coarse hair. I can't wait to see the change as the second, third, and fourth application of the product is applied. If you believe in natural hair and HATE chemicals this is the way to go. I wish I had someone to apply it to my hair. Her hair is so much easier to comb, to dry. to style. All I can do is sing your praises. Why aren't more people aware of the product?

No Perm in 4 months

i brought this product months ago and it was sitting in my drawer. I was broke and could not afford to get a perm, so i decided to use it. I saw the difference from the first application, mind you I have not had a perm in 4 months. my curls were softer. I did not buy the rose water so I used regular tap water, but we have a water softener and the other mistake I made was that it was not thinned out enough. Even with this I like no love how my hair turned out. I let it air dry and then I straighten it with the hot iron. I will need to hurry up and purchase more cause I need to do the second and third application as the container recommended. I posted the picture of my hair on facebook and everyone wants to know where I got the product from, so I directed them here. Love it cant wait to get off the creamy crack.

I have been using this product on and off for about 4 years now and I can't begin to tell you how great it is. I have natural hair (my last relaxer was about 10 years ago,) so my hair is very kinky. I alternate between braids 9 months per year and press my hair 3 months out of the year. Every time I take the braids out or wash in between a press it gets easier and easier to run a comb through my hair. Plus my hair has thickened up really well. I pass this little baby a long to everyone I know.

I can see the wave and curl definition in my natural hair. I've been looking for a natural product for my hair a long time. So glad that I found this and will continue to buy it. Hated the chemical relaxers long ago in my past. I love the rose water that gives the natural-laxer a good smell.

I used that product for my daughter's hair. We are on week three of the treatment. Her hair is softer. I will continue the treatment. I mixed the sahara clay with olive oil and the consistency was much thinner. My daughter's hair looks wonderful!

So far, I like the way it allows me to comb my hair once I have applied it. I have only used two applications but I am interested in seeing what the results will be after a few more. Right now I am not see much difference in the manageability of my hair, but I do hope to see it happen.

Natual-Laxer on Super thick 4a hair

I've only used the product once and immediately noticed how much softer my hair was to touch. I don't think it elongated my curls any but the softness and texture even after drying are well worth me trying it again. Combing it out was much easier with a whole lot less breakage. Unfortunately because my hair is sooo dense I had to use two jars and probably should have used a 3rd. Just to give you an idea of why I appreciate this product I'll tell you a little about my hair texture. According to everything I've read my hair is 4a, but I think my hair is a 5 mixed with 4, 3 and 2. I've got thick hair with coils the size of the clicker on a retractable pen, some that match the circumference of a pen and a marker, and all over my head I have some straight hairs that won't curl even with gel as wells very loose curls than just hang from different parts of my head which makes it tricky to wear an neat afro. Basically the product works and even if I don't get the same results as in the video it makes combing soo much easier.!! I'm waiting on my next batch. The only drawback thus far is the cost and size of the product..ie too expensive and too small.

Okay this will not make hair straight, however, it does relax the curl or kink or hair enough to make it more manageable. I found I needed two jars for the first treatment and used only one jar for the second. My hair is less knotty and I have less breakage. Be sure to use a conditioner and moisturizer because it does feel dry immediately after the process, however the hair feels stronger. I have noticed less breakage since the second treatment. I just ordered my second trio. I am thinking will do the third application this weekend and then as needed for maintenance. I wear the rolled/curled twists and since using the product I have movement and body in my hair. I did not have the heat cap, so I put in the product, used a plastic cap and a towel for 8 hours the first time and over night the second time. I used the rose water and olive oil.

Somewhat messy, took two jars the first time, but only need one now

This is only the second time I have tried the Natural-Laxer Mix. The first time I noticed that my coarse kink drank in the herbs and it felt rather stringent, but I noticed the texture had indeed changed. Since I am not looking for stick straight hair like you get from a chemical, I was pleased with the loosening of my natural coil and it felt softer. The second time I used it, I felt the hair relaxing more and with the moisturizing Herbal Hair Oil, I felt that after years of straightening and/or gerri curling my hair, I could get to love my "natural". I ordered enough of the Natural - Laxer product this time to try it every week since I felt the difference. I will keep you posted.

I was looking for a gentle texturizer and conditioner to enhance my natural kink and keep it from breaking as I grew it out. Since natural hair can break off as easily as chemicalized hair, without the proper care, I found that this fit the bill.

I am on my 2nd treatment. It was a little drying at first but seems better after the 2nd when I did a hot oil treatment before application. I could especially tell the difference afterwards. My curl pattern is so well defined. I can't wait to see the results after my third (3rd) treatment.

My experience with the Natural-Laxer Mix is that it really made my hair softer and more manageable. My beautician noticed that my hair was very manageable for corn-rolls in my hair. I used all the ingredients and two jars two start then a two weeks later applied on jar and will use one at time from this point on.

I used this on my hair to see what it would do. I have very fine hair, with tiny coiled shirley-temple-like curls. The product did not change the texture of my curls, but I did notice a relaxed feel to it. By looking at the result, there was no change, however, by running your fingers through my hair if feels softer. I was not looking for anything to take away the curls. Only to relax them a bit

I chose not to cut off all my permed hair while transitioning to a natural state, after 22 weeks or no perms, I needed something that would "smooth out my frustrations" Thank goodness for the natural relaxer. I now have a product that will help my fully transition into natural hair!
Amazing product -- my hair feels so soft and is much more manageable. I would highly recommend it but would caution that it doesn't actually straighten the hair -- it is more like a deep conditioner.

I just recently ordered this product. I have applied the first round of the naturalaxer using rose water and I'm very pleased with the results. I have medium length, thick, 4b hair and while I had to scrape, and I do mean literally SCRAPE the bowl, I was able to get through the process using only one jar. My hair was noticeably easier to comb through and that's even before I put the leave- in conditioner I use, on my hair. I also noticed A LOT less shedding when combing through my hair as well, which made me ecstatic. I am looking forward to the second week of application :-)

I was sceptical about trying this product. I have always been told I had nice hair. My curls are nicely defines (4a) I think but my hair is so dense that I can't see any length. I was happy with the results of the Natural Laxer. I have natural thick, curly hair and felt pleased that I was using a product that is totally natural and produces strong results. I saw and felt a difference, as my hair was much more manageable after the first use. Alternatively, there is a usage problem: I would like to use this product on a consistent basis, but the jar is so small that A) Financially, it's not the smartest move and B) that would just be tedious! If a larger size becomes available (i.e. more bang for my buck), I would then become a Natural Laxer Advocate! For now, I'll admire from afar and use when I want a periodic smoothing session.

I have natural, 3c hair. I've applied this product 3 times, one week apart, with the heat cap. After the second application, I noticed a slight relaxation of my curls. Overall, the effect is not noticeable to me but I do feel like this product strengthens my hair. I am going to keep using it every 6 weeks or so with the hope that it will control some of the frizz.

This product has worked really well for me. I am extremely tender headed but my hair is very manageable now. After blow drying and flat ironing my hair looks relaxed. I have a very tight curl pattern. I take it to my hair dresser for application. I use a dryer instead of the heat cap.

I have very fine, soft natural 3c hair that responds very well to curl creams, but frizzes and shrinks up if there is any humidity even with products in it. I think the Natural-Laxer did relax my curls a little bit, though the difference is not drastic. I switched from using Miss Jessie's curl merengue to KCCC at the same time I started using this product, and KCCC works much better for me. I can't tell whether it's from the KCCC or the Natural-Laxer, or both, but my hair feels very healthy, easy to manage, and does not get as frizzy over the course of the day. I have done the first 3 applications with the heat cap for an hour and will continue to use this product every 6 weeks or so and see what happens. I hope it will help my curls maintain definition when it is humid. At a minimum, I think it strengthens my hair. Because my hair is very fine, one jar is enough to cover my hair.

I was a little skeptical at first but I decided to give it a try. I purposely bought enough product to use two containters for each treatment because I have very thick 4b hair (majority of my hair is this texture). It took 2 containers for one treatment and I have 1 more week to go before I finish the initial treatment.
After I rinse out the natual relaxer I can see my curls stretched more. On the 1st treatment I did not add the olive oil and my hair was not as soft. I decided to add the olive oil to the 2nd treatment and felt the difference.
After the 2nd treatment I blow dryed my hair and I was amazed as to how much more softer it is, as well as my hair straightened a lot easier. I usually have to use a blow dryer and flat irons to get my hair straight, but all I used was a blow dryer. Along with a 100% boar brush of course.
I have 1 more week to go and I cannot wait to see how my hair reacts to treatment 3.

I went natural a year ago and have had a hard time with my hair. I have very tight coils and even with blow drying, and flat irons the second humidity hits it the coils are back. But after using it for 3 weeks once per week. And now after I flat iron it the coils are gone. Not completely straight yet but they say it works better with time. That I believe. Week one I had doubts but now I can't wait to see what happens after my next treatment next month.

I ordered 3 jars just to be on the safe side if I did like it. Well I had to use two jars and that was still not enough. Guess my hair is just to thick. I really didn't notice a big difference. But as they say its going to take sometime. Guess i will never know cause I will have to wait till the cash is right. I am very tender headed and Natural-Laxer enables me to comb out my "natural" hair with ease. I wear braids and simply wanted an easier comb out after removing braids-shampoo-condition. However I got the option of blow dry to textured straight whenever I want to wear my hair free flowing (no braids). I use Natural-Laxer about 3-4 times per year and shampoo-deep condition at least once weekly. For African and biracial hair, it's important to add an oil to the product before applying to hair.It's great! I love it!

So far I have only used on application and my hair is much softer. Since going natural, my hair waves up with tight, tight notches. I purchased the product like three weeks ago but finally used it this past weekend. I am quite impressed. My hair is not completely straight but it is straighter and easier to comb. I have ordered another because according to the instructions it's recommended to use every 7-10 days for three weeks. In addition I ordered the shampoo and conditioner they recommended to use when using the all natural relaxer. I used the Emu Oil Shampoo & Conditioner on the 1st round that is because the Emu is MY ultimate Shampoo & Conditioner. I feel very comfortable using this all natural relaxer than the usual chemical products. I like it because my hair is not falling out when I comb it like most chemical relaxers. I like this soft subtle touch up to my all natural hair. Since using Treasured Locks products I have not gone wrong. Ok, I've read the numerous reviews that state the product does not work. That just isn't the case. I have 4b hair and it works...granted I bought 12 jars and I've used seven of them, but that's the price I'm willing to pay for hair that is controllable. My hair stylist is amazed by the difference. My hair dries faster, is softer and has a very nice zig-zag shape. Trust me, I didn't think it would work either, but it has. It has just taken me A LOT of jars to get to this texture. I do a "touch-up" once a month for the new growth.

I really like the product. It is not intended to straighten hair like a chemical based relaxer. It softens the hair and, as an added benefit, removes impurities from the scalp. I have really noticed a difference in the condition of my scalp. I have also noticed that detangling my hair is so much easier. I like the product and will continue to use it.

I have applied the product twice since received, meaning I am in my second week. I removed all relaxed portion of my hair applied product exactly as instructed. Within two weeks I believe the product has grown my hair more than it would have than if I had not used the product. It definitely makes the hair softer and promotes growth.I am going on my thrid week and I continue to monitor the product, but I believe it is promising. You have to follow instructions exaclty and be patient on getting the final results, it will take time . I will continue to use the product and update on the results. The smell was not bad as I thought it would be, but the amount could be a bit more generous. My daughter is transitioning and her hair is very long.

The product did not work for me. I found that it actually appeared to take more moisture from my hair even after adding olive oil to the mix.

I tried the product about 2 weeks ago and I could see the difference with just one use. I have a texturizer in my hair, but I had about 4 months worth of new growth. I applied Natural-Lax mix and I could see that my new growth was more relaxed, not straight but much easier to comb. I recently purchase 3 more bottles and will definitely keep using this product. I have used relaxers and the children's texturizer in my hair and my scalp is always getting burnt. This is the first product I use and IT WORKS. It does not straighten my hair like a relaxer, at least not on the first use, however it does what I want it to do which is to make my hair more manageable. Thanks for developing this product.

I used Natural-Laxer MIX for the first time a week ago. I have very curly hair that is more coarse and stubborn in the top and around the front edges and nearly straight around the nape of the neck. I have color in my hair, so I applied first to the more coarse areas and last to my silkiest hair. Left on with the plastic cap for 2 hours and added olive oil as suggested. There was a slight loosening of the curl pattern, but I see that I will have to use it at least a couple more times to get the effect that I desired.
Pros:
Natural. I don't ever want another perm.
Cons:
Expensive in comparison to even beauty supply perms.

Okay ... but not Great

I used this product as directed. I completed the three week program. I will say that it made my hair somewhat more managable and made the curls more defined. I have very thick, kinky hair (4b). As long as my hair was wet it looked great. However, once it was completely dried, it felt hard. And, it was extremely dry and lifeless. Even after putting various types of oils, grease and leave in conditioners in it, I still never achieved the look that I was hoping for. It certainly doesn't look like the lady's hair on the video. Also, it is not exclusive to Treasured Locks. I am able to purchase it at my local beauty supply.
Since it is a natural product, I know that the process is gradual. So, I'm not sure if I should continue to use it to see what happens or just try something else. Though I probably wouldn't recommend the product, I wouldn't discourage anyone from buying it because their experience might be different from my experience.

I was skeptical but reading other's reviews enticed me to try it. This was one of the best products I've ever used on my hair. My hair is short and thin which makes it difficult to maintain a nice style. Plus the chemical relaxers makes it dray. Once I used this product, it gave plenty of shine, moisture my hair style looked nice throughout the day. Right now, I am in the very early stages of transitioning over to natural so I will keep using the product and hopefully it will continue to work well on my hair as it becomes more natural. Also, I added olive oil for more moisturizing.

I'm in the process of going natural with my hair from that of conventional relaxers after reading some of the reviews I decided to give this product a try. I have very thick and coarse hair and now I can easily comb through my hair without getting it tangled or breaking the comb. I've used this product twice now and my hair is noticeably softer and easier to manage even after the first application. I will continue to use this product as an alternative to the other brands out there that leave my hair dry and seemingly more prone to breakage.
