- Shampoo hair with Simply Smooth pre-clean purifying shampoo
- Do NOT CONDITION
- Towel dry until hair is damp.
- Spray Touch of Keratin and comb blend. Use enough to moisten hair from scalp to ends without over saturating.
- Blow dry the hair 100% dry
- Proceed to finish hair style with a flat iron set at 400º F. If hair is damaged or bleached, reduce the iron temperature to 375º F
- Allow hair to set for 24 hours without shampooing.

Worked great and held up well.

The Touch of Keratin Kit worked really well, amazingly well. I used it on my daughter before a dance competition. I was most impressed with the way it held up during 9 hours of dancing without reverting. She was sweating a bit, and normally I have to smooth her roots at minimal once or twice during competition days. Thanks so much. We will be using this againI might even try it on my hair.

Is this product good for natural kinky black hair and will it damage the hair if there is not continual use like a relaxer every 4 to 6 weeks?

Unlike a permanent relaxer that works by breaking chemical bonds in the hair, a keratin treatment strengthens the hair. I don't straighten my hair so how would this benefit me? And would I simply shampoo and condition? How does it leave the hair? Do you have any reviews from others who don't blow dry their hair?

Answer:
The product will smooth and soften hair even if you do not straighten it on a regular basis. However, for the application to work, you must flat iron the hair when applying. After that, straightening is optional until the next application.
The Touch of Keratin treatment reduces frizz, leaves the hair smoother and makes it easier to style and quicker to blow dry. If you choose to flat iron the hair, it reduces that time and lengthens the time the hair remains straight.

Simply Smooth Touch of Keratin is great for use in conjunction with a relaxer. It will fill, soften and make the hair stronger. We would recommend use after the first wash after having a relaxer.
Simply Smooth Touch of Keratin can also be used in place of a relaxer, even though it will not replace a relaxer directly as it will not relax all of the curl out of the hair without flat ironing. Answer:
The purpose of the pre-clean shampoo is to open up the cuticle to accept the keratin treatment. The hair should feel rough after shampooing and you should see lots of suds. That is how you will know you have achieved an open cuticle. The amount of shampooing required will be dependent on how healthy and tight the cuticle is. The healthier the hair (the tighter the cuticle), the more shampooing that will be required to get the best application of the keratin treatment. Healthier hair will require more shampooing as the cuticle is closed tighter.
