Description East African Shea Butter is the crème de la crème of Shea Butters. Because it is extracted manually from the highest quality shea nuts of the Nilotica variety, East African Shea Butter is softer and more fragrant than shea butter of West African origin. East African Shea Butter is naturally high in shea olein, melting more gently into the skin. East African Shea Butter is more rare than West African Shea Butter and is highly prized for it superior moisturizing properties, smooth creamy texture and mild fragrance. It's so smooth and creamy, you may find it hard to believe this is an all natural product. Shea Butter, known in African for centuries, has recently been discovered by the Western world. This all-natural moisturizer has almost magical properties for treating minor skin problems such as eczema, psoriasis, dry skin, dry scalp and more. Use it on hair and skin to rejuvenate, moisturize, add suppleness and prevent damage from the sun and elements. East African or Ugandan Shea Butter is more rare than West African Shea Butter and is extremely difficult to find. When you do find it, it is selling up to the equivalent of $40 per two ounce jar on some websites. We are pleased that we can offer this premium quality Shea Butter to you at an extremely competitive price. Ugandan Shea Butter is excellent for dry knees, elbows, rough hands and dry scalp. It is especially helpful for dry scalp, dermatitis eczema, sunburn and as a lip balm.

It truly like the East African shea butter. It is must smoother and softer than other shea products that I've used; and it works faster in moisturizing and rejuvenating my skin.

I'm 56 years old and have been using Shae Butter, Vitamin E cream and other products over the last 30 years for several dry itchy spots on my knees, elbows, and other areas. The Shea butter that I used before was like trying to rub in wax, not good. Your East African Shea Butter beat them all hands down. For one thing a little does go a long way. It goes on light and easy. I apply it a few times a day to my trouble spots and the iching stops immediately. Ahhh, relief. I will continue to use your brand of East African Shea Butter and stop all the others. Yours works. Thank you for your wonderful product. Larry

this product is amazing!! Shea Butter is a necessity for me, and i prefer this over the West Africa....BIG DIFFERENCE, but be careful when u first get it, its like a liquid
Merchant Response:This product does melt more quickly than Shea Butter from Ghana. It may arrive in liquid form in climates like Missisippi's. It will return to a semi-solid state at normal room temperatures.
Prossoft smooth easy to rub in

It's great for my scalp, hands, knees, elbows and feet especially. It's rich and a little goes a long way. I love it especially since the smell is very light. Actually it smells better than the hair balm with shea butter.
ProsAll natural. Rich. Only a little is needed. Skin looks better after one use. Price is reasonable.
ConsNo perfume fragrance, but not offensive or medicinal smelling.

I love this product. I have tried other shea butters, but none compare to the quality of this! The only caution is because it is a butter, it melts easily and be careful when you open it once it is shipped, (it spilled in my car) Other than that, I use it on my face, body, and hair.

I notice that the west African Shea butter is labelled as raw Shea butter. Is the east African Shea butter also raw?
Yes, the East African Shea Butter is also minimally processed and is raw. Generally, East African Shea Butter is raw. It's the West African Shea (from Ghana) that is sometimes processed to remove the color and odor.

Will it leave your face oily after use.
Typically this product is used by people with dry to normal skin. If you have oily skin, we would not recommend its use. When used on any skin type, a little goes a long way.
