Instructions

Hair should be clean before applying product. Any styling products or added oils should be washed out of hair so that the product can easily penetrate hair follicles.
Pour contents of package into a bowl or cup in which you can mix the product.
Add enough water, a few drops at a time, to make a smooth, thin paste. You want the product to be smooth and uniform enough to easily spread through your hair, but not so runny that it runs straight through.
Distribute product evenly through your hair. You can use a wide-tooth comb or a dye brush. The product is great for your scalp and will improve circulation to encourage hair growth. Do not be afraid to get the product onto your scalp.
Cover with a conditioning cap. The Treasured Locks HydraCap is best for this step, as it will prevent runs and drips and will seal in heat, which helps the product penetrate the hair follicle and absorb into the skin.
Leave product on for at least 30 minutes, although 45 minutes is preferable. Product can be left on for an hour or more.
Remove conditioning cap and rinse hair thoroughly. Shampoo and/or condition and style as normal. For best results, use Treasured Locks H2G Awaken Emu Oil Shampoo and H2G Awaken Emu Oil Conditioner. Follow up with Knot No More to seal in moisture.

Optional ingredients:

To enhance straightening and make hair more shiny, lemon juice can be added to the mixture.
A small amount of oil can be added to seal in moisture. Jojoba oil, argan oil, and shea butter oil are ideal for this. Olive oil can also be used.
A small amount of honey can enhance straightening.
