I'm taking H2G hair growth vitamins in conjunction with H2G hair strength vitamins. The first couple of days I took them i had more energy and i felt the pills improved my overall health, but its been two and a half weeks now and my body feels sluggish like it use to before taking the vitamines. I'm thinking i may be taking all the pills too close together and am not reaping the full benefit. All together its 4 pills a day. Can you give me a suggestion on how to take them all?
By Treasured Locks Staff on October 3, 2011
Answer:You are taking the pills correctly. Take one each in the morning and one each before bedtime.
The energy boost you felt initially might have been from the vitamin B. It's not a designed benefit of the product though. It's perhaps a pleasant side effect. The pills should be having their intended effect on your hair and skin the way you are taking them.

Can I take these vitamins along with Centrums Silver?
By Treasured Locks Staff on October 13, 2011
Answer:Our Hair Growth Supplement is formulated with vitamins, minerals and other nutrients specific to hair growth (skin health and nails). Centrum Silver and other daily multivitamins are general-purpose supplements. For anyone taking another multivitamin, you should read the labels of both products to see where they might overlap and where you might be getting too much of a certain nutrient.
We can't give specific medical advice. Many people take multiple supplements a day and there are megadoses of certain nutrients that people take claiming they are beneficial. There are people who take the Hair Growth Supplement along with other supplements and they are working great for them.

I havent brought this product yet , but i am reading a lot of reviews and a lot of the cons are that their urine is a weird color . Should i be worried about that effect ?
By Treasured Locks Staff on June 4, 2012
Answer:Urine being a brighter yellow is a common, temporary, harmless side effect of taking a B vitamin. The vitamins are water soluble and any excess, over what your body absorbs, is excreted through the urine. There is no need to be concerned. This is commonly experienced by people taking a B vitamin supplement or even a multivitamin.

I bought several months' supply and now, after a couple of months, I've found some of the pills are cracked. What happened?
By Treasured Locks Staff on June 23, 2012
Answer:Some of the ingredients in the H2G Hair Growth Supplement are hygroscopic. In other words, they absorb moisture from the air. We put a special coating on the pills to protect them and we include a desiccant in the jar to absorb the moisture. But, after a few months in a damp environment, the pills will take on moisture. They should be kept in a relatively dry environment. We know many people like to keep their medications in their bathroom. But, it's actually best to keep them someplace more dry, like your kitchen. If kept in a dry environment, the pills will be fine until their expiration date, which is printed on the bottle.

How big are the tablets?
By Treasured Locks Staff on September 10, 2012
Several people have commented on the size of the pill. As a result, people often ask us how big it is. The vast majority of people who can take a multivitamin can take this pill with no problem. It's large compared to some other pills because of the amount of nutrients that are included, but i's no larger than most multivitamins. Here is a picture of one the tablets next to a quarter for comparison.

Are your hair vitamins only for African-American or biracial hair?
By Treasured Locks Staff on January 27, 2012
Answer:While African-American hair is different from other types of hair in structure, it's made of the same building blocks. The nutrients provided by our hair supplements will benefit all hair types.

I take 2 pills around 10 oclock right before bed! Is this okay ? Am i shortening the process in ANy way by doing this ???
By Treasured Locks Staff on February 15, 2012
Answer:The very best way to take the product is at two separate times of the day. The reason is the product is time-released and by taking it this way you end up with a more even level in your bloodstream over the entire day.
But, taking two at a time won't significantly harm the process. It's still better than taking nothing and better than taking only one.

Why are the pills not recommended for children under 18? My daugther is 14 and her hair is slow growing and she has lots of breakage. What are the dangers for young teens?
By Treasured Locks Staff on March 12, 2012
Answer:The reason we say the Hair Growth Supplement is for "adults" is that the FDA recommended daily levels of the nutrients included are based on recommendations for adults. We would not recommend giving them to pre-pubescent children. You could consult with your daughter's pediatrician.

Can i chew this vitamin instead of swallowing it?
By Treasured Locks Staff on January 2, 2013
Answer:There are a couple of reasons you would not want to chew the supplement. First, it would be bitter. Second, the supplement is coated to be time-released. Chewing it, or grinding it up would not make it harmful. But, it would lessen the effect because instead of being released over a several hour period, it would be released more quickly.

Can You Smash The Pills Into Tiny Pieces And Put Them Into Your Shampoo Or Conditioner Bottle and Wash Your Hair With It ? Will That Work Also ?
By Treasured Locks Staff on April 9, 2012
Answer:That will not work for a couple of reasons. First, you should not smash the pills. They should be taken whole because they are designed to break down slowly, over time, in your stomach. Secondly, the pills don't work when applied to the hair or skin. They must be taken internally.

I am 62 with lots of gray hair it use to be very strong and healthy till I had a tooth surgically remoothed and took medications for pain. As I was on the mend, my hair began to break off and thin near the ends. I had been getting a permanent and decided since the December surgery to use natural hair products. Since doing so the hair loss has indeed decreased but some of the products caused my face to burn- so would it be better for my to trip the hair growth supplements instead? Its been actually 4 months since I had a permanent 3 months since haivng the surgery so I figure the meds should be out of my system - so will your supplements really give much help on someone my age?
